Frequently Asked Questions

1. What’s the difference between therapy and counselling?

While the terms “therapy” and “counselling” are often used interchangeably, there can be some distinctions. Counselling typically focuses on providing support for specific challenges or issues, often with a more short-term approach. Therapy, on the other hand, might involve longer-term work, helping you explore deeper emotional or psychological issues. Both offer support, but therapy often looks at long-term growth and transformation, while counselling tends to focus on immediate concerns or life adjustments.

2. Do you offer in-person counselling?

While I primarily offer online counselling for convenience and flexibility, I understand that some situations might require an in-person meeting. If that’s the case, feel free to reach out via email, and we can discuss the possibility of arranging an in-person session. I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs.

3. Are there times outside what is listed that you are available?

There is some flexibility in my availability, so if the listed times don’t work for you, don’t hesitate to email me. We can try to find a time that suits us both, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule.

4. How do I know if this is the right fit for me?

Every counsellor has their own approach, and it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable with. If you’re unsure whether my style will be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can email me with any questions, and we can discuss how I work and what to expect. Ultimately, the best way to know if it’s the right fit is to give it a try. I’m here to help, and I want to ensure you feel supported throughout your journey.

5. Can I book multiple sessions and get a discount?

Yes, absolutely! If you’re looking to book multiple sessions in advance, please reach out to me. I’m happy to arrange a discount for you to make ongoing support more affordable.

6. Is this confidential?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of effective counselling, and I take it very seriously. All sessions are highly confidential, with some legal limitations, which will be clearly outlined in the counselling contract and discussed during the initial session. Your trust is important, and I am committed to creating a safe space for you to share openly.
